Pete and Joanne Mace

Pete Mace moved to Seven Lakes in 1983 after graduating from East Carolina University. Pete’s father was one of the original developers of Seven Lakes in the early 1970’s, which is when his family started to build their heart-pine vacation cabin on Lake Sequoia. The Seven Lakes cabin was just a 30-minute drive from Sanford, Pete’s hometown. Joanne Farnan graduated with a nursing degree from Wingate College in 1987 and after graduation moved to Moore County to work in a Southern Pines medical practice. Pete and Joanne were married in 1989. In February 1990 Joanne opened Petals and Presents Florist in Southern Pines. Joanne was the only FTD Masters Design Floral designer in Moore County. In 1994 Pete started in the Real Estate business full time. From 1983 – 1994 Pete was involved with developing Real Estate, Residential and Commercial construction and Marketing. Since 1994 Pete has been involved with six residential developments, two that are on going: GRANDE PINES and PINE BARRENS. Pete loves his career on Real Estate! However, Pete and Joanne are also involved with community organizations and their children’s activities.

The main reasons for starting The Sandhills Team are:
1) To better service both Buyers and Sellers, and making sure every transaction is a win/win experience for the client and our team.
2) To consistently and constantly think of new and better ways to perform the Real Estate Business in Moore County
3) To offer the best and most honest customer service of any Real Estate Company.
